Project Repat was founded in 2012 by Ross Lohr and Nathan Rothstein. The company was started to help people turn their t-shirts into meaningful keepsakes — and keep those shirts out of landfills.

How many shirts do I need to make a quilt?
The number of shirts you need depends on the size:

Lap Quilt (16 panels) → ~8-16 t-shirts

Throw (30 panels) → ~15-30 t-shirts

Full (49 panels) → ~25-42 t-shirts

King (64 panels) → ~43-64 t-shirts
We cut one 12" x 12" panel from each shirt side unless you specify otherwise and add 14x14 panels.

All Project Repat quilts are cut and sewn in the USA, at our partner in North Carolina.
